Pull Up a Chair
If we were sitting together over a cup of tea (and let's be honest, mine would probably need reheating at least once because I got caught up in the conversation), this is probably where I'd begin...

I'm so glad you're here.
I've always believed that stories have a way of slowing us down long enough to notice what we might otherwise miss. Some make us laugh, some make us cry, and some gently remind us that God has been at work all along—even when we couldn't see Him.
That's the heartbeat behind everything I do.
As a teenager, I fell in love with historical fiction and discovered its remarkable ability to transport readers across centuries. But more than that, I discovered that the very best stories don't simply entertain us—they change the way we see the world, ourselves, and the God who faithfully meets us there.
Today, I write stories that explore faith, redemption, and the quiet ways God works through life's hardest moments. My background in history, psychology, English, and education has shaped the way I see people and the stories they carry, but it's my love for Scripture and the ordinary faithfulness of God that continues to inspire every page I write.
Long before Broken Glass found its way into readers' hands, one of my short stories, The Coffin, won a local writing contest and was later brought to life through animation for a fundraising event. It was one of those unexpected moments that quietly affirmed what God had been whispering to my heart for years: stories matter because people matter.
When I'm not writing, you'll usually find me teaching high school English and Drama, directing award-winning musicals, speaking at conferences and retreats, or sitting behind the microphone for This Way Podcast. Whether I'm teaching Scripture, sharing a story, or standing in front of a classroom, my hope is always the same—to help people recognize God's quiet presence in the ordinary moments of everyday life.
When life slows down, you'll most likely find me with a cup of tea in my hands, walking a forest trail, or sitting beside a quiet lake with my husband, our children, our first grandchild, and our little dog, Ophelia. Those are the places where I'm reminded, again and again, to look closely, breathe deeply, and remember that God is often nearer than we realize.
However, you found your way here—through Broken Glass, a Bible study, a speaking event, or This Way Podcast—I'm truly glad our paths have crossed.
So, welcome. Pour yourself a cup of tea, stay awhile, and perhaps, as we spend a little time together, you'll discover what I've been discovering all along...
